Hello, I’m Katie from The Artist Book Casting
With a lifelong passion for the arts and experience both on set and behind the scenes, I offer a casting service that’s personal, transparent, and rooted in real industry insight. I love connecting great talent with exciting productions and making the process smooth and welcoming for everyone involved.
The arts have always been a big love of mine, from childhood right through to adulthood.
I’ve taught Performing Arts in secondary schools and colleges, and slightly later in life had the privilege of training at drama school. While studying at The RCSSD, I worked as a casting agent and quickly fell in love with the energy of it all — the fast pace, the ever-changing demands (well, mostly enjoyed those!) and the thrill of working with productions and supporting artists to create truly immersive scenes. Granted, my husband isn’t quite as keen when I spot familiar faces or locations on TV, but I can’t help myself!
Then came Covid, which put everything on hold for so many of us. After leaving teaching, I knew I didn’t want to leave the arts. When another opportunity to return to casting came along, I wasn’t going to let it pass.
I’ve also experienced life on set as a Runner and as a Supporting Artist - from background roles to stand-in work - so I know first-hand what it’s like to be on set and what both talent and productions need to feel supported. That insight drives me to create a casting service that’s personal, transparent and always improving. I love connecting great productions with incredible talent, and I make sure every project is handled with respect, clear communication and a genuine passion for the craft.
Whether you’re a performer looking for your next opportunity or an AD searching for the perfect cast, I’m here to make the process seamless and welcoming.
We’re always on the look out for talent, with or without experience.

Make it stand out
Your Entertainment Partners profile is your first impression - make it count. Here’s a few tips to make your profile stand out.
-
Your photos are the very first thing casting teams see, so keep them current. Update your headshot and full-body shot whenever your look changes - new hairstyle, facial hair, glasses, anything. Productions often request only images uploaded within the last two months, and we can see the upload date, so fresh photos really matter.
-
Accurate measurements are just as important as great photos. Productions send briefs for a huge range of looks, sizes, and abilities, so double-check and refresh your details regularly.
-
Your EP profile is your personal showcase - make it uniquely yours, but keep it truthful. If your “fluent French” sounds more like Joey Tribbiani, maybe skip that one! Use the space to highlight your real skills, talents, and even your Spotlight number. Staying honest ensures the right opportunities come your way and helps everyone on set.
